Have you ever wondered “Why We Need Salvation?”

Some might say that we need salvation:

1. So we won’t spend eternity in hell.

2. Because we sometimes are so evil (lying, cheating,

and stealing) that we really need to get save and change our wicked ways.

 
The truth of the matter is,  we need salvation no matter what kind of life we choose to live; whether good or bad. 

Note :  Remember this point.  It’s importance will be revealed later.

Question:  What exactly must we do to be saved?

How much work does it take? Romans 10:9 (KJV)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

        God made salvation simple because it was needed.  Why?

  Genesis 1:27(KJV)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Man had a Divine (or God-like) Identity.

1.  Man was made in the image of God.  That means we were made  to look like-act like-be like God.

2.  We are to commune with God.  Spend quality time with Him.

3.  Man and Woman were created at the same time.

4.  At this point, however, they existed only in the mind of God.

5.  If God had said let there be man and let there be woman,  Man and Woman would be on the same level with the animals, the birds, the trees, and the angels.

6.  He had to do something different with this creation.


This “something” took place on the 6th  Day.  That’s why the number six represents MAN.

 Genesis 2:7 (KJV)

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

1. He had to lay his hands on man.

2. Man was his special creation. 

3. He formed man from the dust.

4. This raised man higher than all other creations.

5. Even the angels.

6. That breath of life was God’s Spirit. 

 

 Psalm 8:5 (KJV) 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

If you look this word angels up in the concordance, the number reference is 430.  In the Hebrew, this particular word “angels” means elohiym –el-o-heem (the Supreme God)

  Now we are made in his image and we have his spirit.  We were made to talk like him, to act like him and to be in fellowship with him.

At this point Man Identified with his creator.

God created the Garden of Eden for man and woman to dwell or live in.

He was created to walk in the way of God. (Or walk like God walked.)   Upright and Holy. 

Man did not just mess up as soon as he got to the garden.

Man walked with God and talked with God in the garden for over 100 years.Genesis 2:16-17 (King James Version)

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

 Adam and Eve were still one body at this point. God had not separated them yet.

It is right here that God operated on Adam and caused

a separation of the two (Adam and Eve) to take place.                Genesis 2:21-23 (KJV)

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Man is the giver.  Woman is the receiver.  When man gives a seed to the woman, she receives it and gives life to it.

Woman represents DOCTRINE(or teachings) in the Bible. The serpent went to the woman(the receiver) with his doctrine of Disobedience and Lust to establish it into the world and the woman received it.  He convinced her to eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil.

He (the serpent) told her “Ye shall not surely die” (This is the first lie or deception from the deceiver)


Question:  Where was Eve when God gave the commandment?

In verses 2:16-17, when God commanded the man not to eat from the  tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, Woman was still a part of man.  She got the command at the same time Adam did.

Before the serpent spoke to the woman, she was not interested in the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. She wasn’t interested in looking at it or eating from it.

After spending time with the serpent, she saw the tree in a different way.

She had a paradigm shift.    She saw things from a different point of view.

 
Spending Time with the devil can affect your vision.1 John 2:16 (KJV)

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

She saw that the tree was Good for Food –Lust of the Flesh

Pleasant to the Eyes-Lust of the Eyes

and was a tree to be desired to

 make one wise-The Pride of Life.

We know that the serpent or Satan is the prince of this world.

Eve was not protecting her EAR GATE.  This is the place where things go into your spirit through what you listen to.

When you stand around and listen to gossip.  For example:

If you allow yourself to listen to a group of people talk about a person,  after a while you can’t greet that person the same way,  you can’t look that person in the eye,  and you can’t smile at that person the way you used to.  Guard Your EARS.  This will protect your spirit.

Eve allowed the serpent to speak to into her hearing and into her spirit and into her life and change her thought patterns and her vision.

 
You can’t spend anytime with the devil.

So she ate of the fruit. (Nothing Happened at this Point)

She had eaten the fruit.  She had been disobedient.  She

had introduced the Doctrines of Disobedience and  of Lust into the world.       

Still Nothing Happened at this point.

She gave the  fruit to her husband and he did eat.

Man, in the Bible, represents TRUTH. When man ate the fruit, he confirmed the doctrine of the serpent(devil) and     it became TRUTH in the earth.  Deuteronomy 19:15 (KJV)

15 One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Question:  So if nothing happened when Eve ate of the fruit, Why did Adam Eat IT!!!!!!!!!                                                                                   Could he have stopped the process right here??

 1.God created them at the same time.

2. He formed them the same body.

3. He operated on Adam and took Eve from his side.

4.  When she sinned, half of him was in darkness.

I Timothy 2:13-15 (KJV)   For Adam was first formed then Eve.  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding, she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

5.  He still had his divine identity.

6. But God had given both of them a mission or assignment.

7. He told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

8.  Half of him was in the light, half of him was in darkness.  They could not complete the mission in that state. In that divine state,  he could see salvation.  He could see that God was going to reconcile them down the road.

9.  Adam stepped over in darkness, with Eve, who had messed up.  He sacrifice his divine connection with God for the sake of Humanity.  Amos 3:3 – Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

10.  HE WAS A TYPE OF CHRIST.         

The eyes of both of them were opened and they knew that they were naked.

They had been disobedient. They had sinned.  They had broken their Covenant with God. They were outside of the will of God.  They were no longer under the covering of God.

In essence, they had stamped INVALID on their

Divine ID Card.

They sewed fig leaves together to make themselves aprons. They were trying to produce a covering in the natural realm to take the place of the spiritual covering that they had just lost.

They heard the voice of God Walking in the garden in the cool of the day.

Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of God. (The had stepped out of the will of God – They were hiding from the presence of God).Genesis 3:8 (KJV)

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

 Genesis 3:9 (KJV)

9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

Verses 8 and 9 show God’s desire for our fellowship.  He wanted to be with them.  


They said – We were naked so we hid.  God said who told you that you were naked?  Have you eaten from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil?

Their sin had broken their fellowship with God.

 At this time, The sin that Adam and Eve committed, broke the fellowship we had with God.


Man said- That woman YOU gave me-she gave me the fruit from the tree and I did eat?

Question:  Who did man blame?

Woman said-The serpent beguiled(cheated, outwitted, and deceived me), and I ate.

Question:  Who did woman blame?

When the man accused or blamed GOD and the woman and the woman blamed the serpent, this is when they started to identify with the devil.  He is the accuser of the brethren.

Every single person born into the world from that point on is born in sin and shaped in iniquity. (Wickedness and injustice)Psalm 51:5(KJV)

5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.


This is why we need Salvation.

 Romans 6:23(KJV)

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wages (Are the Costs)  Sin is costly.  [If you are going to  live in sin you will have to pay the cost.]

You can choose to be disobedient to God but,                                   You can’t choose the consequences.  God chooses that.

 Death is a separation from God.

When Jesus was going to the Cross and they were beating him and humiliating him, he did not cry out.  But on the cross, when the sin of the world was transferred to him and his righteousness was transferred to us,  He cried out,

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Since God cannot look upon sin and had to turn away from him, he felt that awful separation from God.  He cried out in pain.

It doesn’t matter if you were born, kept all the commandments, and did not do one thing to sin against God, You must be saved because of the sin of one man; The First Man (Adam).

But God is so Good,  there is John 3:16
John 3:16 (KJV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Hallelujah.John 3:17 (KJV)

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

The Christian Religion is the only religion where God comes to man instead of man trying to make his way [in his own might or works] to God.

*Man can’t get to God just by doing good.  Good and Evil are from the same tree!

So it doesn’t matter what kind of Sin you are currently in, or if you are in none at all, you must be born again,                 –be saved-accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.

Romans 10:9

This is why we need SALVATION.  Thank God Salvation is Free!  I should say is Paid In Full.
